There is a rumour round the corner for quite sometimes now that Microsoft is about to release its latest edition of the Xbox console games. This rumour has been on for few years now and nobody knows actually when exactly the company plans to release the product or whether production of the new Xbox console is actually in progress. About to whether Microsoft is planning big for the launching of a new gaming console to consolidate on what they have achieved before in the area of console games, available evidence seemed to point to that direction; it was Microsoft that dropped the impending development about the development of a console, a new Xbox.
The speculations about the expected launch of the product are as a result of the development in the gaming industry where the other console game manufacturers are positioning themselves to take over the console game market. There was speculations not long ago that the Microsoft has gone far in the production of the new Xbox gaming console and that such rumours should no longer be treated as an internet gossip. The rumours have gone beyond the expected launching date to the specifications and features the new gaming console would be made of. Since the Xbox 360 made the market in 2005 there has been reactions on what the consumers would like the Microsoft to add in the new edition of its gaming Xbox games. This may be as a result of the successes witnessed with the marketing and performance of the Xbox 360 in the market in the face of keen competition. The technology that was used to develop the 2005 Xbox game was based on what was obtained in the year 2004 technologies. Since 2005 to this year lots of things have changed in terms of technological developments. That is why there would be changes in the proposed New Xbox by Microsoft.
There are some changes that are expected to be featured in the New Xbox whenever it is released to make it fit with the realities of the time. One of the rumoured changes is in the area of storage where the storage system would be turned to cloud storage. This does not imply the complete shift from the physical media which the earlier products were made of but the trend is now going towards cloud storage. Microsoft is not expected to backslide in terms of technological growth.
Although the inclusion of this storage feature might not be automatic because Microsoft may have its own ideas of what it wants the storage of the new Xbox to look like when it is eventually released to the market. Microsoft has a way of doing its things differently, in the past the company proved speculators wrong when it released its Xbox 360 which many thought then that it would run on blu ray technology. However that does not mean that Microsoft will not make use of the cutting edge technology in the production of this new gaming console. It is expected that the New Xbox would likely run on the AMD chip which is a cutting edge technology device. The processing unit of the new gaming console is also expected to be based on the latest technology. It is already rumoured that it will run on the DX 11 Krishna accelerated processing unit which is expected to be released in the year 2012.
There is the change towards bigger model of the console games to be able to be used for high quality games. It is expected that while the new Microsoft is not expected to be all that big is should be bigger than the earlier products. The essence of having the bigger gaming console is to enable such gaming console to produce blockbuster games like the LA Noire, Crysis and of course the famous Battlefield. These are big games that can be played in a big console games. It is expected that the new console, the New Xbox should not have any limitations in terms of the types of games that it can play and not play.
There is expected to be an innovation in the shape of the new gaming console. The shape is expected to be different from the earlier products at least to make it look like something that is produced out of the technology of 2010 and above. There is already rumour that is making round in some quarters that the New Xbox would appear in tablet form. Tablet form is the most modern way of producing the console games.
The actually release date is currently rumoured to be around the year 2014 or 2015. That means that the new Xbox may not make it to the market until at least 3 years from now. It is to be expected because Microsoft may not be in a hurry to replace the existing Xbox 360 it fully realizes its potentials in the gaming industry.
